Writer & Artist

Amber Kain is a novelist, playwright and screenwriter whose work explores the unseen lives of seemingly ordinary people. Whether writing for the screen, stage or page, she is drawn to psychologically complex characters, memorable dialogue, and stories that balance wit, suspense and compassion.



Mentored by Academy Award winner Karl Malden and legendary theatrical producer Joseph Papp, Amber has collaborated with acclaimed actors including Meryl Streep, Sam Rockwell, Keith David, Renée Zellweger, Sam Waterston and William Hurt. She is a three-time winner of the New York City Storytelling Contest, and her plays have been developed and produced for the stage.



Amber's current work includes feature screenplays, television series, stage plays, novels, and children's books. Recent projects include the feature screenplay Sugar, the stage play Life in Greek and the television drama Be My Love. She lives in California, where she continues to create stories that invite audiences to laugh, wonder, and recognize themselves in surprising ways.
